John Jaques Sussex Croquet Set

The Games Inventor John Jaques the II was awarded a Gold Medal for introducing Croquet to the world at the Great Exhibition in 1851. The Croquet Sets he exhibited attracted such wide attention that the wonderful new game quickly became the vogue.

The Sussex Set features many of the  designs that one associates with all the wonderful Jaques sets.

It features a beautiful canvas carry bag to hold all of the contents.

The four (4) Croquet Mallets included are hand made and hand varnished Jaques mallets.

This Set uses straight-grained beautiful Jaques hardwood intermediate Croquet mallets (33")

The hoops included are the superb 'Sussex' Croquet hoops. The hoops have a baked finished for extra durability.
